2024​​​​

• Kawhatau trip 18-20 Oct (Kawhatau Outdoor Ed centre)

  • Kawhatau River, Rangitikei River, Pourangaki River, small streams

• Tukituki 1-3 Nov (Hastings Club Bach "Patangata Hilton")

  •  Good river for beginners with some casting skill

2025

• Wairarapa Camping 15-16 Feb (Daikins Road Campsite)

  • ​Good river for beginners with some casting skill

• Mangatainoka 14-16 March (Masters Hall, Pahiatua) 

  • Good river for beginners with some casting skill

• Taumaranui 18-21 April (Taumaranui Holiday Park)

  • A competent level of casting skill is required. Not suitable for raw beginners.

• Mangatainoka 16-18 May (Masters Hall, Pahiatua)

  • Good river for beginners with some casting skill

Get to Know other members and develop your fly fishing skills

​

There are so many places to fish around the North Island and we do our best to make regular trips for a night or two to various locations. These trips are a lot of fun and feedback from members is very positive. We arrange accommodation and you are responsible for your own food. Sometimes we will pool resources for smaller trips.

Details are usually available a month or two in advance and usually include a Friday to Sunday and are weather dependent, with early bookings essential. Some venues do require a deposit. You can register for trips by using the "Register Now" button above.​

You will be sent details prior to the trip. It is essential that you have achieved basic casting skills to make the most of your trip. The club can assist you with casting skills through our regular casting clinics. If you want to join the Fishing Group, check with your casting instructors if they feel you are ready to join.
