Trout fishing in New Zealand

For 150 years, trout fishing in NZ has been a national tradition. It is a resource right at our doorstep. The serenity of being out there and the adrenaline of hooking a fish make it an incredible pastime.

The equipment and skill level varies on the method you use, you might be surprised how accessible and easy trout fishing can be. Our club is committed to helping you learn how to fish, where to fish and you will meet people that will be only too willing to go fishing with you.

Skill Development Activities

We are an active club with a focus on the enjoyment of fresh water angling.

Enjoying the sport is closely linked to acquiring the skills that go with that. Some of the other development programmes outside of our regular monthly events are listed to the left. Have a scroll through and we encourage you as a member to get involved, you will benefit from the experience.
